Transfer of patient to a mental health facility, when, procedure.

631.165. If the head of the alcohol or drug abuse facility finds thata person who is detained for treatment and rehabilitation is presenting alikelihood of serious harm as a result of mental disorder other thanalcohol or drug abuse, or both, the head of the facility shall arrange forthe transfer of the person to a mental health facility through a mentalhealth coordinator, or through a licensed physician, registeredprofessional nurse, qualified counselor or mental health professionaldesignated by the mental health facility. The person may be detained forup to ninety-six hours for evaluation and treatment, under the proceduresof sections 632.310, 632.315, 632.320 and 632.325, RSMo, before filing apetition for further detention under sections 632.330 and 632.335, RSMo.
