Interstate use of water, negotiation of interstate compacts, duties ofdepartment--general assembly and other agencies to be consulted.

640.405. The department shall represent and protect theinterests of the state of Missouri in all matters pertaining tointerstate use of water, including the negotiation of interstatecompacts and agreements, subject to the approval of the generalassembly. Any department of state government affected by anycompact or agreement shall be consulted prior to any finalagreement.
