Boilers and pressure vessels to conform to rules, exceptions.

650.220. No power boiler, low pressure boiler or pressurevessel which does not conform to the rules and regulationsformulated by the board governing new construction andinstallation shall be installed and operated in this state aftertwelve months from the date upon which the first rules andregulations under sections 650.200 to 650.290 pertaining to newconstruction and installation have become effective, unless theboiler or pressure vessel is of a special design or construction,and is not inconsistent with the spirit and safety objectives ofthe rules and regulations, in which case a special installationand operating permit may at its discretion be granted by theboard.
