Confidentiality of records, records disclosed, when.

660.321. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the departmentshall not disclose personally identifiable medical, social, personal, orfinancial records of any eligible adult being served by the division ofsenior services except when disclosed in a manner that does not identifythe eligible adult, or when ordered to do so by a court of competentjurisdiction. Such records shall be accessible without court order forexamination and copying only to the following persons or offices, or totheir designees:

(1) The department or any person or agency designated by thedepartment for such purposes as the department may determine;

(2) The attorney general, to perform his or her constitutional orstatutory duties;

(3) The department of mental health for residents placed through thatdepartment, to perform its constitutional or statutory duties;

(4) Any appropriate law enforcement agency, to perform itsconstitutional or statutory duties;

(5) The eligible adult, his or her legal guardian or any other persondesignated by the eligible adult; and

(6) The department of social services for individuals who receiveMedicaid benefits, to perform its constitutional or statutory duties.
