Policy council or committee, members' qualifications, duties.

660.653. Each head start program shall have a head start policycouncil or committee, with not less than fifty-one percent of the membersof such council or committee being parents of children enrolled in a headstart program. The remaining members of such council or committee may becommunity representatives from the geographic area serviced by the program.Pursuant to federal regulations, the head start policy council or committeeshall, in partnership with the head start grantee or delegate agency,provide policy direction for the local head start program.
