     69-14-132. Legal assistance for commission. The attorney general is the attorney of the commission, and the county attorney of each county in the state shall, on the request and at the direction of the attorney general, assist in all cases, proceedings, and investigations undertaken by the commission under this chapter in the county attorney's own county. However, the commission may employ special counsel, with the approval of the attorney general, to assist in any case, matter, proceeding, or investigation instituted under this chapter. The attorney general, upon direction of the commission, and the county attorney of each county in this state, upon direction of the attorney general, shall institute and prosecute and appear and defend any action or proceeding arising under this chapter. All suits and proceedings filed in any court of this state under this chapter must have precedence over all other business in the court except criminal business and original proceedings in the supreme court.
