     7-14-2606. Survey of road. (1) The board may order the county surveyor, or some other competent surveyor if the county surveyor is incompetent, to survey and plat the road. The surveyor shall file the surveyor's field notes with the county clerk and recorder.
     (2) The surveyor must receive $7 a day and actual traveling expenses.
