     77-1-504. Processing of statements. The department shall examine for accuracy the statement returned by the department of revenue, and the state land equalization amount may not be approved unless the state exemption figure is deducted from the gross assessment figure in the statement. The department shall, before November 1 of each year, prepare and file a claim with the department of administration for all counties that are eligible for state land equalization amounts, and this claim must show the amount of money that each eligible county receives through the entitlement share provided for in 15-1-121.
