38-2055. Physician assistants;prescribe drugs and devices; restrictions.A physicianassistant may prescribe drugs and devices as delegated to do so by a supervisingphysician. Any limitation placed by the supervising physician on the prescribingauthority of the physician assistant shall be recorded on the physician assistant'sscope of practice agreement established pursuant to rules and regulationsadopted and promulgated under the Medicine and Surgery Practice Act. All prescriptionsand prescription container labels shall bear the name of the physicianassistant and, if requiredfor purposes of reimbursement, the name of the supervising physician.A physician assistant to whom has been delegated the authority to prescribecontrolled substances shall obtain a federal Drug Enforcement Administrationregistration number.
