48-2710. Fees; Professional Employer OrganizationCash Fund; created; use; investment.(1) The department shall adopt a scheduleof fees for initial registration, annual registration renewal, and limitedregistration, not to exceed two thousand five hundred dollars for initialregistration, one thousand five hundred dollars for annual registration renewal,and one thousand dollars for limited registration. Such fees shall not exceedthose reasonably necessary for the administration of the Professional EmployerOrganization Registration Act. (2) There ishereby created the Professional Employer Organization Cash Fund to be administeredby the department. Fees imposed pursuant to this section shall be remittedto the State Treasurer for credit to the fund. Money in the fund may be usedfor the administration of the Professional Employer Organization RegistrationAct. Any money in the fund available for investment shall be invested by thestate investment officer pursuant to the Nebraska Capital Expansion Act andthe Nebraska State Funds Investment Act.
