72-1001 Nebraska Capital Construction Fund; created; use; investment.
72-1001. Nebraska CapitalConstruction Fund; created; use; investment.TheNebraska Capital Construction Fund is created. The fund shall consist of revenueand transfers credited to the fund as authorized by law. Money shall be appropriatedfrom the fund to state agencies for making payments on projects as determinedby the Legislature, including, but not limited to, purchases of land, structuralimprovements to land, acquisition of buildings, construction of buildings,including architectural and engineering costs, replacement of or major repairsto structural improvements to land or buildings, additions to existing structures,remodeling of buildings, and acquisition of equipment and furnishings of newor remodeled buildings. The fund shall be administered by the State Treasureras a multiple-agency-use fund and appropriated to state agencies as determinedby the Legislature. Any money in the fund available for investment shall beinvested by the state investment officer pursuant to the Nebraska CapitalExpansion Act and the Nebraska State Funds Investment Act.The State Treasurershall transfer four million five hundred seventy-four thousand four hundredsixty-six dollars from the Nebraska Capital Construction Fund to the GeneralFund on or before June 30, 2010, on such date as directed by the budget administratorof the budget division of the Department of Administrative Services.
