85-1,130. University of Nebraska Medical Center; primary care practitioners and other practitioners; develop plan.It is the intent of the Legislature that the University of Nebraska Medical Center develop a plan to increase the number of graduates of the center who specialize in primary care fields, who take residencies in primary care fields, and who establish practices in rural areas and other medically underserved areas of the state. The plan shall include a listing of the barriers that need to be addressed and the resources needed and should also address methodologies to provide adequate numbers of graduates in the fields of physical therapy, nursing, physician assistant practice, occupational therapy, and other health care professions in the rural areas and in other medically underserved areas of the state. The plan shall be submitted to the Legislature not later than November 1, 1993. SourceLaws 1993, LB 505, § 10.
