127.058  Consent to adoption: Person to whom consent is given has legal custody of child until hearing on petition for adoption.  A person to whom consent to adopt a child is given for a specific adoption pursuant to NRS 127.053 has, at the time the consent is executed, legal custody over the child and is legally responsible for the child until a court holds a hearing to enter an order or decree of adoption or to deny the petition pursuant to the laws of this State or another state.
