177.275 - Defendant to be discharged on reversal without ordering new trial.

177.275  Defendant to be discharged on reversal without ordering new trial.  If a judgment against the defendant is reversed, without ordering a new trial, the Supreme Court shall direct, if the defendant is in custody, that the defendant be discharged therefrom, or if admitted to bail, that the defendant’s bail be exonerated, or if money be deposited instead of bail, that it be refunded to the defendant.
