268.606 - Expenditures authorized by cities. - Nevada Statutes

268.606  Expenditures authorized by cities.  Municipalities instituting annexations under the provisions of NRS 268.570 to 268.608, inclusive, are authorized to make expenditures for surveys required to describe the territory proposed to be annexed, or for any purpose necessary to plan for the study, annexation, or both, of any unincorporated territory contiguous to the municipality. In addition, following the final passage of the annexation ordinance and prior to the effective date of the annexation, the annexing city shall have authority to proceed with expenditures and take such other actions appropriate for the construction of streets, utility lines and other capital facilities and for any other purpose calculated to bring services into the annexed area in a more effective and expeditious manner.
