269.0246  Responsibilities of board of county commissioners unaffected.  It is the intent of NRS 269.024 to 269.0248, inclusive, that the existence and activities of the advisory council shall in no way diminish the responsibility of the board of county commissioners in its capacity as the governing body of the town and in performing its duties as such, but that it shall bring to bear on the problems of the town the knowledge of a representative group of residents thereof.

      NRS 269.0248  Creation of additional councils under original ordinance.  Citizens’ advisory councils for two or more towns may be created by one ordinance, and the initial ordinance may from time to time be amended to create citizens’ advisory councils for additional towns, if the board of county commissioners determines that all of such towns shall be governed by the same ordinance.
