284.145  Appointment to position in unclassified service from registers of eligible persons.  Officers authorized by law to make appointments to positions in the unclassified service and appointing officers of departments or institutions whose employees are exempt from the provisions of this chapter may make appointments from appropriate registers of eligible persons maintained by the Department without affecting the continuance of the names on the list.
