286.655  Payments for rehabilitation in lieu of disability retirement allowance.  The Board may make direct payments to a public employer for the rehabilitation of a member eligible to receive a disability retirement allowance. These payments, up to but not exceeding the disability retirement allowance, are payable at the request of the member in lieu of the disability retirement allowance.
