408.220  Duties of Director: Reports to Board.  Before September 1 of each even-numbered year, for the biennium ending June 30 of that year, and at such other times as the Board designates, the Director shall report all the proceedings of the Department to the Board.

      NRS 408.225  Powers of Director: Purchase and rental of and contracts for equipment, supplies and services.  Except as otherwise provided in NRS 408.323, the Director, with the approval of the Board, may rent, lease, purchase and contract for all equipment, materials, supplies, vehicles, road machinery, tools, implements and technical services required for the purpose of this chapter. Such equipment, supplies and services must be managed and used under the control of the Director.
