440.287  Rescission of declaration for voluntary acknowledgment of paternity.

      1.  If a mother or a person who has signed a declaration for the voluntary acknowledgment of paternity with the mother rescinds the acknowledgment pursuant to subsection 2 of NRS 126.053, the State Registrar shall not issue a new certificate of birth to remove the name of the person who originally acknowledged paternity unless a court issues an order establishing that the person who acknowledged paternity is not the father of the child.

      2.  As used in this section, “court” has the meaning ascribed to it in NRS 125B.004.
