539.750  Petition for dissolution of district: Filing with clerk of district court; order of district judge.  Upon the filing of a petition with the clerk of the district court of the county where the district was organized, setting forth that an irrigation district should be forthwith dissolved, the petition to be signed by at least 25 percent of the electors owning at least 25 percent of the land in the district, the clerk of the district court shall forthwith obtain an order from the judge of that court, who shall enter an order directing the officers and directors of the irrigation district to submit to the electors the question of whether the district shall be dissolved at the next district election or primary or general state election.
