581.520 - Metric System Trust Fund. - Nevada Statutes

581.520  Metric System Trust Fund.

      1.  The Council may accept gifts or grants from any source, and expend money so received or otherwise available to it to contract with qualified persons or institutions for research in matters related to the conversion to the metric system of weights and measures.

      2.  There is hereby created in the State Treasury the Metric System Trust Fund. The Director of the State Department of Agriculture is responsible for the administration of the Trust Fund and shall deposit with the State Treasurer for credit to the Fund any money obtained by the Council pursuant to this section. Claims against the Fund must be approved by the Council and paid as other claims against the State are paid.
