587.161  Liability for payment of special assessment.  All assessments levied pursuant to the provisions of NRS 587.155 must be paid to the Department by the person, either grower or dealer, by whom the alfalfa seed was first handled in the primary channels of the trade and must be paid within 60 days after the date on which the grower received payment for the alfalfa seed. If the person first handling the alfalfa seed in the primary channels of trade is a person other than the grower, the person may charge against or recover from the grower the full amount of any assessment paid under NRS 587.155.
