633.693  Performance of laser eye surgery or intense pulsed light therapy without proper training.  Laser surgery or intense pulsed light therapy on the globe of the eye of a patient may be performed only by a licensed osteopathic physician who has completed a program of progressive postgraduate education in ophthalmology as a resident in the United States or Canada in a program approved by the Bureau of Osteopathic Education of the American Osteopathic Association, the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education or the Council on Medical Education of the Canadian Medical Association.
