645F.280  Adoption of regulations establishing rates paid by regulated entities for supervision and examination by Commissioner and Division.

      1.  The Commissioner shall establish by regulation rates to be paid by escrow agencies, mortgage agents, mortgage brokers, mortgage bankers, persons who perform any covered service for compensation, foreclosure consultants and loan modification consultants for supervision and examinations by the Commissioner or the Division.

      2.  In establishing a rate pursuant to subsection 1, the Commissioner shall consider:

      (a) The complexity of the various examinations to which the rate applies;

      (b) The skill required to conduct the examinations;

      (c) The expenses associated with conducting the examination and preparing a report; and

      (d) Any other factors the Commissioner deems relevant.
