NEW HAMPSHIRE STATUTES AND CODES

Section 125-F:10 Authority of the Commissioner in Cases of Emergency.

Whenever the commissioner finds that an emergency exists requiring immediate action to protect the public health or welfare, he may issue an order reciting the existence of such an emergency and requiring that such action be taken as necessary to meet the emergency. Such order shall be effective immediately. Any person to whom such order is directed shall comply with the order immediately, but on application to the commissioner of the department of health and human services, shall be afforded a hearing within 15 days. On the basis of such hearing, the commissioner of the department of health and human services shall continue such order in effect, revoke it, or modify it.
