Section 126-A:59 Mandatory Redemption of Certificates Without Default. - New Hampshire Statutes

When all periodic payments required by RSA 126-A:56 have been made in full by or on behalf of a qualified tenant participating in the program established under this subdivision, the department shall issue a notice to the qualified tenant and the landlord calling for the mandatory redemption of the guarantee certificate. A participating qualified tenant and landlord shall comply with such notice and submit the certificate for redemption, and the department shall pay to the landlord the amount stated in the certificate. Upon receipt of such payment, the landlord shall hold such payment as a security deposit pursuant to law and terms of the lease or rental agreement.
