Section 259:72 Owner. - New Hampshire Statutes

""Owner'' shall mean:
   I. For purposes of the provisions of this title relative to registration, any person holding title to a vehicle, or having exclusive right to the use thereof for a period of greater than 30 days;
   II. [Repealed.]
   III. For purposes of the provisions of this title relative to certificate of title, any person, other than a lienholder, having the property in or title to a vehicle, including a person entitled to the use and possession of a vehicle subject to a security interest in another person, not including a lessee under a lease not intended as security;
   IV. For purposes of the provisions of this title relative to financial responsibility, a person who holds the legal title to a vehicle, except a moped, a person entitled to possession of such a vehicle under a conditional sale or lease by terms of which title vests in him on performance of stated conditions, or a mortgagor entitled to possession.
   V. For the purposes of the provisions of this title relative to electronic toll collection, any person holding title to a vehicle, or having the exclusive right to the use thereof under a written rental or lease agreement, for any period of time.
