NEW HAMPSHIRE STATUTES AND CODES

Section 388:1 Petition.

Any state-chartered savings bank, building and loan association, cooperative bank, or trust company, by vote of a majority of its members if it is a mutual institution or by vote of a majority of the holders of its voting stock if it is a stock institution, and any other state-chartered banking institution or any national bank or federally chartered savings association or bank, by the same vote, may apply by petition to the superior court in the county in which either of the institutions is located for a decree authorizing a union of such institutions by merger or consolidation. The superior court may authorize any appropriate action relating to the merger or consolidation, including without limitation, the organization of any corporation for consolidating such institutions and the dissolution of such of them as are to be liquidated in the consolidation.
