Section 392-A:1 Definitions. - New Hampshire Statutes

In this chapter:
   I. ""Accredited investor'' means a person deemed to be an ""accredited investor'' under applicable federal securities laws and regulations.
   II. ""Business entity'' means a corporation, limited liability company, limited partnership, or limited liability partnership.
   III. ""New Hampshire financial institution'' means:
      (a) A New Hampshire-chartered bank, trust company, savings bank, savings association, or cooperative bank;
      (b) A national bank or a federally chartered savings bank or association having its principal place of business in New Hampshire;
      (c) A corporation chartered by the state of New Hampshire to engage in business development and lending and subject to examination by the bank commissioner; and
      (d) A company which is a bank holding company or savings and loan holding company under applicable federal laws and regulations and controls any of the foregoing institutions under such laws and regulations.
   IV. ""Small business'' means a ""smaller business'' or term of like import as defined in the rules and regulations of the United States Small Business Administration relating to small business investment companies, as amended from time to time.
