40A:9-48 - Appointment of licensed physician to act in certain cases
40A:9-48. Appointment of licensed physician to act in certain cases If the county medical examiner is unable to perform any duty imposed upon him as such medical examiner, by law, he may appoint a resident licensed physician to act for and in his behalf. The physician so appointed shall have all the powers of the county medical examiner and shall receive compensation for his services to be paid by the county.
