48:5-26 - Conviction of nuisance;  taking toll without paying fine; penalty

48:5-26.  Conviction of nuisance;  taking toll without paying fine; penalty    When a corporation shall be convicted of a nuisance for not repairing and keeping in repair a bridge and shall neglect to pay the fine and costs awarded for the space of three months after execution shall have been issued against it, such corporation, its lessee or agent, or any other person shall not demand  or take any toll upon such bridge until such fine and costs are paid.

    If any person shall so demand or take toll after notice in writing to him of  such conviction and neglect, such person shall be punished by a penalty of one  hundred dollars to be sued for in the name of the prosecutor of the pleas of  the county and applied toward payment of the fine and costs aforesaid.
