5:12-56 - Organization and employees

5:12-56.  Organization and employees    a.  The Attorney General shall organize the work of the division in such bureaus and other organizational units as he may determine to be necessary for efficient and effective operation and shall assign to the division such employees of the Department of Law and Public Safety as may be necessary to assist the director in the performance of his duties.  Subject to the approval of the Attorney General, the Superintendent of State Police shall assign such supervisory and investigative personnel and other resources to the Division of Gaming Enforcement as may be necessary to fulfill its obligations under this act.

    b.  All employees of the division, except for secretarial and clerical personnel, shall be in the unclassified service of the Civil Service.  All employees of the division shall be deemed confidential employees for the purposes of the  "New Jersey Employer-Employee Relations Act"  (P.L.1941, c. 100;  C. 34:13A-1 et seq.), as amended.
