22-13-13. School lunch program.

A.     The state board [department] shall prescribe standards and regulations for the establishment and operation of school lunch programs in the state. The department of education shall provide technical advice and assistance to any school district in connection with the establishment or operation of a school lunch program.   

B.     A local school board may accept gifts or grants for use in connection with a school lunch program in the school district.   

C.     A "school lunch program" means a program under which lunches are served by a public school in the state on a nonprofit basis to students attending the school.
