§ 370. Establishment. 1. The legislative body of a city, village or town, may by ordinance or local law authorize the court having jurisdiction of traffic cases to establish a traffic violations bureau to assist the court in the disposition of infractions in relation to traffic violations. 2. There shall be a department of the Nassau county government known as the Nassau county traffic and parking violations agency, which shall operate under the direction and control of the county executive.
