393-A - Chairman of the commission.
* § 393-a. Chairman of the commission. 1. The chairman shall be the chief executive officer of the commission. 2. The chairman may appoint such assistants, officers and employees, committees and consultants for the commission as may be determined to be necessary, prescribe their powers and duties, fix their compensation and provide for reimbursement of their expenses within amounts appropriated therefore. 3. The chairman may, from time to time, create, abolish, transfer and consolidate bureaus and other units within the commission not expressly established by law as may be determined necessary for the efficient operation of the commission subject to the approval of the director of the budget. 4. The chairman may request, and shall receive upon request from any department, division, board, bureau, commission or other agency of the state or any political subdivision thereof or any public authority such assistance, information, and data as will enable the commission properly to carry out its functions, powers and duties. * NB Repealed June 30, 2012
