§1‑567.56. Expert appointed by arbitral tribunal.
(a) Unless otherwiseagreed by the parties, the arbitral tribunal:
(1) May appoint one ormore experts to report to it on specific issues to be determined by thearbitral tribunal;
(2) May require a partyto give the expert any relevant information or to produce, or to provide accessto, any relevant documents, goods, or other property for the expert'sinspection.
(b) Unless otherwiseagreed by the parties, if a party so requests or if the arbitral tribunalconsiders it necessary, the expert shall, after delivery of his written or oralreport, participate in an oral hearing where the parties have the opportunityto question the expert and to present expert witnesses on the points at issue.
