§104‑23.  Maintenance and operation of bridges over waterway.

The Board of Transportation orthe road governing body of any political subdivision of the State of NorthCarolina is hereby authorized and directed to take over and maintain andoperate in perpetuity, by contract with the United States government, ifnecessary, or otherwise, any bridge or bridges which may be subject to theirrespective control and which the United States government may construct acrosssaid inland waterway.
