§ 105‑449.45. Reportsof carriers.
(a) Report. A motorcarrier must report its operations to the Secretary on a quarterly basis unlesssubsection (b) of this section exempts the motor carrier from this requirement.A quarterly report covers a calendar quarter and is due by the last day inApril, July, October, and January. A report must be filed in the form requiredby the Secretary.
(b) Exemptions. Amotor carrier is not required to file a quarterly report if any of thefollowing applies:
(1) All the motorcarrier's operations during the quarter were made under a temporary permitissued under G.S. 105‑449.49.
(2) The motor carrier isan intrastate motor carrier, as indicated on the motor carrier's applicationfor registration with the Secretary.
(c) Other Reports. Amotor carrier must file with the Secretary other reports concerning itsoperations that the Secretary requires.
(d) Penalties. Amotor carrier that fails to file a report under this section by the requireddate is subject to a penalty of fifty dollars ($50.00).
