§ 106‑735.  Short titleand purpose.

(a)        This Article shallbe known as "The Agricultural Development and Farmland PreservationEnabling Act."

(b)        The purpose of thisArticle is to authorize counties and cities to undertake a series of programsto encourage the preservation of qualifying farmland, as defined herein, and tofoster the growth, development, and sustainability of family farms.
