§ 110‑101.1. Corporal punishment banned in certain "nonlicensed" homes.

The use of corporal punishment as a form of discipline is prohibited inthose child care homes that are not required to be licensed under this Articlebut that receive State or federal subsidies for child care unless this care isprovided to children by their parents, stepparents, grandparents, aunts,uncles, step‑grandparents, or great‑grandparents. Care providedchildren by their parents, stepparents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, step‑grandparents,or great‑grandparents is not subject to this section. Religious sponsorednonlicensed homes are also exempt from this section. (1993, c. 268, s. 1; 1997‑506, s. 17.)
