§ 113‑169.1.  Permitsfor gear, equipment, and other specialized activities authorized.

(a)        The Commission mayadopt rules to establish permits for gear, equipment, and specializedactivities, including commercial fishing operations that do not involve the useof a vessel and transplanting oysters or clams.

(b)        The Commission mayadopt rules to establish gear specific permits to take striped bass from theAtlantic Ocean and to limit the number and type of these permits that may beissued to a person. The Commission may establish a fee for each permitestablished pursuant to this subsection in an amount that compensates theDivision for the administrative costs associated with the permit but that doesnot exceed ten dollars ($10.00) per permit.
