§ 113-174.2. Coastal Recreational Fishing License.

§ 113‑174.2.  CoastalRecreational Fishing License.

(a)        Repealed by SessionLaws 2005‑455, s. 1.4, effective January 1, 2007.

(a1)      Authorization toFish in Coastal and Joint Fishing Waters. – A CRFL issued under this sectionauthorizes the licensee to engage in recreational fishing in coastal fishingwaters, including joint fishing waters. A CRFL issued under this section doesnot authorize the licensee to fish in inland fishing waters.

(b)        Repealed by SessionLaws 2005‑455, s. 1.4, effective January 1, 2007.

(c)        Types of CRFLs;Fees; Duration. – The Wildlife Resources Commission shall issue the followingCRFLs:

(1)        Annual ResidentCRFL. – $15.00. This license is valid for a period of one year from the date ofissuance. This license shall be issued only to an individual who is a residentof the State.

(1a)      Annual NonresidentCRFL. – $30.00. This license is valid for a period of one year from the date ofissuance. This license shall be issued only to an individual who is not aresident of the State.

(2)        Repealed by SessionLaws 2005‑455, s. 1.4, effective January 1, 2007.

(3)        Repealed by SessionLaws 2005‑455, s. 1.4, effective January 1, 2007.

(4)        Ten‑DayResident CRFL. – $5.00. This license is valid for a period of 10 consecutivedays, as indicated on the license. This license shall be issued only to anindividual who is a resident of the State.

(4a)      Ten‑DayNonresident CRFL. – $10.00. This license is valid for a period of 10consecutive days, as indicated on the license. This license shall be issuedonly to an individual who is not a resident of the State.

(5)        Repealed by SessionLaws 2005‑455, s. 1.4, effective January 1, 2007.

(6)        Lifetime CRFLs. – Exceptas provided in sub‑subdivision j. of this subdivision, CRFLs issued underthis subdivision are valid for the lifetime of the licensee.

a. –d.   Repealed by SessionLaws 2005‑455, s. 1.4, effective January 1, 2007.

e.         Infant LifetimeCRFL. – $100.00. This license shall be issued only to an individual youngerthan one year of age.

f.          Youth LifetimeCRFL. – $150.00. This license shall be issued only to an individual who is oneyear of age or older but younger than 12 years of age.

g.         Resident AdultLifetime CRFL. – $250.00. This license shall be issued only to an individualwho is 12 years of age or older but younger than 65 years of age and who is aresident of the State.

h.         Nonresident AdultLifetime CRFL. – $500.00. This license shall be issued only to an individualwho is 12 years of age or older and who is not a resident of the State.

i.          Resident Age 65Lifetime CRFL. – $15.00. This license shall be issued only to an individual whois 65 years of age or older and who is a resident of the State.

j.          Resident DisabledVeteran CRFL. – $10.00. This license shall be issued only to an individual whois a resident of the State and who is a fifty percent (50%) or more disabledveteran as determined by the United States Department of Veterans Affairs. Thislicense remains valid for the lifetime of the licensee so long as the licenseeremains fifty percent (50%) or more disabled.

k.         Resident TotallyDisabled CRFL. – $10.00. This license shall be issued only to an individual whois a resident of the State and who is totally and permanently disabled asdetermined by the Social Security Administration.

(d)        Exemptions. – Anindividual is exempt from the license requirements of G.S. 113‑174.1(a)if the individual either:

(1)        Is under 16 years ofage.

(2)        Holds any of thefollowing licenses that were purchased prior to January 1, 2006:

a.         Infant LifetimeSportsman License issued under G.S. 113‑270.1D(b)(1).

b.         Youth LifetimeSportsman License issued under G.S. 113‑270.1D(b)(2).

c.         Adult ResidentLifetime Sportsman License issued under G.S. 113‑270.1D(b)(3).

d.         Nonresident LifetimeSportsman License issued under G.S. 113‑270.1D(b)(4).

e.         Age 70 ResidentLifetime Sportsman License issued under G.S. 113‑270.1D(b)(5).

f.          Lifetime ResidentComprehensive Fishing License issued under G.S. 113‑271(d)(3).

g.         Lifetime CombinationHunting and Fishing License for Disabled Residents issued under G.S. 113‑270.1C(b)(4).

h.         Disabled ResidentSportsman License issued under G.S. 113‑270.1D(b)(6).

(3)        Holds any of thefollowing licenses:

a.         Lifetime FishingLicense for the Legally Blind issued under G.S. 113‑271(d)(7).

b.         Adult Care HomeResident Fishing License issued under G.S. 113‑271(d)(8). (2004‑187, s. 2; 2005‑455,ss. 1.4, 1.19; 2006‑79, s. 1.)
