§ 113‑223. Reciprocal agreements by Department generally.
Subject to the specific provisions of G.S. 113‑169.5 and G.S. 113‑170.1relating to reciprocal provisions as to landing and selling catch and as tolicenses, the Department is empowered to make reciprocal agreements with otherjurisdictions respecting any of the matters governed in this Subchapter.Pursuant to such agreements the Department may modify provisions of thisSubchapter in order to effectuate the purposes of such agreements, in the overallbest interests of the conservation of marine and estuarine resources.
