§ 115C‑105.32. Parent involvement programs and conflict resolution programs as part of schoolimprovement plans.
A school is encouraged to include a comprehensive parent involvementprogram as part of its school improvement plan under G.S. 115C‑105.27. TheState Board of Education shall develop a list of recommended strategies that itdetermines to be effective, which building level committees may use toestablish parent involvement programs designed to meet the specific needs oftheir schools. The Board shall make the list available to local schooladministrative units and school buildings by the beginning of the 1994‑95school year.
A school is encouraged to review its need for a comprehensive conflictresolution program as part of the development of its school improvement planunder G.S. 115C‑105.27. If a school determines that this program isneeded, it may select from the list developed by the State Board of Educationunder G.S. 115C‑81(a4) or may develop its own materials and curricula tobe approved by the local board of education.
