§ 115C‑414.  State Board as successor to powersof abolished commissions and boards.

The Board shall succeed to all the powers and trusts of the presidentand directors of the Literary Fund of North Carolina; and to all the powers,functions, duties, and property of all abolished commissions and boardsincluding the State School Commission, the State Textbook Commission, theDepartment of Health and Human Services, and the State Board of CommercialEducation, including the power to take, hold and convey property, both real andpersonal, to the same extent that any corporation might take, hold and conveythe same under the laws of this State.
