§ 115C‑509. Conveyance of school property upon enlargement of city administrative unit.

Before any election is called to enlarge a city administrative unit, ifany school property is located in the area proposed to be consolidated with thecity administrative unit, the board of education of such city administrativeunit and the board of education of the county administrative unit concernedshall agree with each other as to the school property to be conveyed andtransferred to the board of education of the city administrative unit if amajority of the voters voting in the election vote in favor of suchenlargement. And, if such enlargement is authorized by such election, the boardof education of the county administrative unit shall, within 10 days after July1 next following such election, convey and transfer to the board of educationof the city administrative unit the property so agreed to be conveyed andtransferred.
