§ 115C‑86.  StateBoard of Education to select and adopt textbooks.

The Board shall select and adopt for a period determined to be mostadvantageous to the State public school system for the exclusive use in thepublic schools of North Carolina the basic textbooks or series of books neededfor instructional purposes at each instructional level on all subject matterrequired by law to be taught in elementary and secondary schools of NorthCarolina.
