§ 116B-5. Escheat Fund. - North Carolina Statutes

§ 116B‑5.  EscheatFund.

All property escheated or abandoned under the provisions of thisChapter and all property escheated or abandoned since June 30, 1971, under theprovisions of former Chapter 116A, as amended, shall be paid into a fund to beadministered by the Treasurer, which fund shall be designated the Escheat Fund.No escheated or abandoned property heretofore paid or delivered to theUniversity of North Carolina pursuant to any constitutional provision orstatute of this State shall be subject to the provisions of this Chapter.
