§ 119‑25. Inspectors, clerks and assistants.

The Secretary of Revenue and the Commissioner of Agriculture,respectively, shall appoint and employ such number of inspectors, clerks andassistants as may be necessary to administer and effectively enforce all theprovisions of the gasoline and oil inspection law with the administration orenforcement of which each said Commissioner [or Secretary] is charged.  Allinspectors shall be bonded in the sum of one thousand dollars ($1,000) in theusual manner provided for the bonding of State employees, and the expense ofsuch bonding shall be paid from the Gasoline and Oil Inspection Fund created bythis Article.  Each inspector, before entering upon his duties, shall take anoath of office before some person authorized to administer oaths.  Anyinspector who, while in office, shall be interested directly or indirectly inthe manufacture or vending of any illuminating oils or gasoline or other motorfuels shall be guilty of a Class 1 misdemeanor.
